Head of Finance (Part Time 25hrs p/w)
About the Role
This is a true greenfields role. With the finance function previously managed by an external accountancy firm and now being brought inhouse this really is a stunning opportunity to design the frameworks and process to best support the financial success of the organisation.
The Head of Finance will provide senior strategic oversight across all areas of the Finance function. Supporting the CEO and reporting to the board regularly you will be responsible for the day-to-day and overall running of the finance function for the organisation.
You will:
- lead financial management for the organisation & oversee daily finance operations
- lead financial planning and budget management functions
- manage the preparation of all financial reports and forecasts
- review and advise on cost benefit of new potential projects
- design, establish, and maintain a financial structure to effectively accomplish goals and objectives
- liaise with Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team to drive process improvement and wider business objectives

Requirements
You will be a CA/ CPA qualified Senior Finance Leader with a strong financial management experience and recent experience leading and managing a Finance function. You will have sound knowledge of financial accounting, and budgeting. Previous commercial experience will be viewed favourably for this role – but most importantly, you will be passionate about contributing to the day-to-day running of a fantastic for-purpose, not-for-profit organisation who truly make a difference in the lives of rangatahi.
You will be a strategic thinker and a sound people leader, with the tenacity, influence and relationship skills to bring about change at the most senior level.
This role would suit a motivated and ambitious financial professional who has been working in the commercial sector and is looking for a role that enables them to do important senior work in a part-time capacity (and we all know these opportunities done come along everyday). Someone who is passionate about giving back to the community and working for a cause that changes the lives of many.
